Gary and Carolyn Plumridge initiated the idea and vision of Bell Park Care to the BelRec Board in late 2019 and we jumped at the opportunity to incorporate this unique welfare program into our Club structure, to sit alongside and add value to the programs we already had in place.

Bell Park Care will strive to build positive, healthy relationships within and beyond our club, within an open, inclusive and caring culture where our members feel valued and supported both on and off the field in whatever capacity they chose to belong and be connected to the Bell Park Dragons.

The Plumridge’s have a threefold mission ;

1. To provide care of our Bell Park families both past and present confronted by physical or emotional hardship, bereavement, mental or health concerns

2. To provide extra hands around the club to support the workload of our current volunteer groups. Extra support around the work of our current volunteers will result in increased vigour, purpose and enable more projects to be completed during the on and off field season throughout the year

3. To create and explore creative solutions to maximising the revenue streams available to support the Sporting and Welfare programs and facilities expansion at the Club

Work has already begun in earnest and many members have benefited from the support, welfare and resources provided by Bell Park Care. We can’t wait to share with our members more of the work being done by this excellent program as time goes on.

We are so blessed to have the vast experience, knowledge and expertise of the Plumridge family. Their generosity, compassion, and proactive approach to supporting the wellbeing and health of community members from near and far afield is incredible and the many associations they are connected with within the community benefit from their expertise, time and devotion.

MISSION:

To facilitate a proactive approach to resourcing the physical health and well being of the club membership and the workload of volunteers, through access to the talents and social capital of the Bell Park Cares volunteers.
